The roots of the Arnoux family in winemaking trace back to 1717, when Count François de Castellanne, de Lauris, de Vassadel, de Gérard, Chevalier Marquis of Ampuis, de Lagneroux, and Vacqueyras bestowed a vineyard upon Pierre Bovis, an ancestor of the Arnoux lineage.
Over the past three centuries, the Arnoux family has expanded its vineyard holdings to approximately 85 acres of prime land on the Plateau des Garrigues, a terroir known for its exceptional soils and ideal conditions for viticulture.
In 1936, Aime Arnoux took a significant step in the family’s growth by partnering with neighbouring vineyards to gain access to renowned appellations such as Gigondas and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. For nearly a century, the family has crafted wines with the same dedication, expertise, and high-quality vines as those cultivated on their estate.
Aime was later succeeded by his sons, Jean-Maris and Régis, who continued the family’s winemaking tradition. Today, the Arnoux estate is managed by the next generation, Marc and Jean-François, ensuring the family’s centuries-old legacy of excellence continues.
