While a parent grape to Gamay and Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch is regionally known as the “Pinot Noir of the East“ and is widely planted across eastern Europe, holding a strong presence in Austria. The cuvée Gugafanga is local term used affectionately by neighboring cantons to describe Hortischoners, roughly translating to hillbilly.
De-stemmed and sent through pneumatic press. Fermented in stainless steel and finished in neutral oak foudre.
