Ardèvol Priorat Coma d’en Romeu

Description

Priorat “La Coma d’en Romeu” is a meticulously crafted blend comprising 40% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Coma d’en Romeu vineyard, 20% Merlot sourced from Mas d’en Cacador—a cool, north-facing slope at 1,500 feet—alongside 20% Syrah, 10% Garnacha from Mas d’en Pubill, and 10% Carignan grown in the village of La Vilella Alta, also at 1,500 feet on a north-facing site. Fermentation occurs in open vats, after which the wine is assembled and aged for 16 months in a mix of new and used 225-liter French Allier oak barrels. Deep ruby in color, this wine shows a distinct minerality, greater than its counterpart Anjoli, with a silky texture and refined tannins. It pairs beautifully with grilled lamb, making it a standout choice for hearty, flame-kissed dishes.
