Terra d’Hom is the flagship wine of Celler Ardèvol, crafted in the village of Porrera, nestled in the heart of the renowned Priorat wine region. This expressive blend of Carignan, Syrah, and Merlot is aged for over 18 months in French oak barrels of varying ages, both new and used, to enhance its depth and complexity.
The grapes come from 10 hectares of vineyards scattered across Porrera, rooted in the region’s characteristic llicorella (slate) soils, which are exceptionally poor in nutrients but ideal for producing low-yield, high-quality fruit. Winemaking at Celler Ardèvol involves extended macerations, gentle pressing, and careful barrel ageing, resulting in wines with structure, elegance, and a distinct sense of place.
