El Castro de Valtuille Crianza is a Village wine and the vineyards are selected for their freshness year on year. The Cabanelas vineyard soil is made of clay, Mata los Pardos is located next to the Villegas vineyard and is made of a mix of clay and sand, El Val has a more stony soil and is located in the opposite direction of the other two vineyards, it is a cooler plot, with a slower ripening period and therefore adds to the freshness of the wine. The blend of the three vineyards provides a beautifully balanced wine.
Grape varieties: 85% Mencía, 10% Alicante Bouschet, 5% whites and other varieties.
