Domaine Rolly Gassmann’s Gewurztraminer Sélection de Grains Nobles is a rare, botrytised dessert wine made only in exceptional vintages from Gewurztraminer berries shrivelled by noble rot and picked in several passes at very high natural sugar levels. It comes from limestone-rich vineyards around Rorschwihr and neighbouring sites, farmed organically/biodynamically and harvested by hand. In the glass it is deep golden, extremely sweet yet finely balanced, with intense aromas of exotic fruit, rose, honey and spice, a luscious, unctuous palate and a very long, complex finish. This SGN is designed for long ageing and pairs particularly well with blue cheeses, rich pâtés and intricate fruit-based desserts.
