Domaine Rolly Gassmann Kappelweg de Rorschwihr Gewurztraminer VT

Description

Domaine Rolly Gassmann’s Kappelweg de Rorschwihr Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives is a late-harvest sweet white from the south- to south-east–facing Kappelweg plateau above Rorschwihr, where very ripe Gewurztraminer is picked at high sugar to give an opulent liquoreux wine of about 13.5% alcohol. It typically shows intense aromas of pineapple, lychee and grapefruit with floral notes of apricot and honeysuckle, a richly sweet, unctuous palate balanced by zesty acidity and a long, lightly smoky finish. This cuvée is well suited to foie gras, blue or washed-rind cheeses and spicy or sweet-savory dishes, and can be cellared for many years.
