Evolúció Blaufränkisch

Description

Origin: The vineyards are located in Hortischon, Mittelburgenland, in eastern Austria, near the Hungarian border. The area produces some of the best Blaufränkisch in Austria, it is locally known as Blaufränkischland. The vineyard area covers 2 104 hectares.

Soil: Deep, heavy clay soils, with great water storage capacity, making it ideal for Blaufränkisch.

Climate: Pennonian with Illyrian influences.

Vineyards: A blend from several vineyards located in Hortischon.

Winemaking: Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks with ten days
maceration, aged for one year in large wooden barrels.
