Gateway Vinho Verde is one of the few Vinho Verdes that is vintage, which means that you are assured of its freshness. The term ‘Vinho Verde’ or ’Green Wine’ doesn’t refer to its color but rather that it is a young wine, it is therefore best to have it in its youth.
2022 is a great vintage for Vinho Verde; a cold winter, a rainy spring with dry spells during the flowering phase, allowing for
healthy fruit development. Then followed hot summer days with cold nights, helping with maturation, acidity and freshness,
the result is a bright, fruity and balanced Vinho Verde.
