Karl Schaefer Riesling Fuchsmantel

Description

From the house vineyard Fuchsmantel, this Riesling shows classic red sandstone terroir. Clear and concentrated on the nose with juicy yellow lemon, some exotic ginger and light physalis notes. This is joined by spicy meadow flowers and a hint of white pepper.

In the mouth, it is initially very creamy with an impression of softness, which is uncompromisingly pushed aside by the very concise, sharp acidity typical of the vineyard. In addition, there is a slight astringency that gives the mouthfeel a lot of power. On the palate, light extract sweetness and fresh lemons with some white peach. This is joined by a slightly piquant bitter note that slowly disappears with the fruit and powerful mouthfeel in the finish.
