Sine Compromisso is a boutique winery founded by two friends, who are passionate to produce natural terroir Kékfrankos wines. They work in accordance with the rhythm of the nature, with minimum intervention. Their focus is on the expression of the terroir. Cool climate wines without compromise.
Winemaking:
Hand-harvested mid-October. The crop was split in 2, one portion was cold macerated over a few days before fermentation started and the other portion was left to ferment right away, both were fermented using indigenous yeast strains. The 2 portions were once again divided in 2; half of each fermentation method was aged in plastic tanks and the other 2 halves in used French barrels. Once the wines were made and aged it was decided to blend them together, they tasted balanced, harmonious and complete once combined. 727 liters made, that is 80 cases of 12.
This wine comes from one of the highest, 450 meters above sea level (1 400 feet), and one of the coldest vineyards in Hungary . The vineyard was planted in 2016 against a south-east orientation slope, Birtokbor, Four Quarters, is an experimental
wine.
