Sine Compromissó Fiatal Kálvária

Sine Compromisso” is a boutique winery founded by two friends, who are passionate to produce natural terroir Kékfrankos wines. They work in accordance with the rhythm of the nature, with minimum intervention. Their focus is on the expression of the terroir. Cool climate wines without compromise.

The Vines

• Terroir: Kőszeg is one of the smallest PDO’s of Hungary, located at West Hungary, on the first slopes of the Alps. The sub-alpine climate, the high altitude of the vineyards and the stony soil (phyllite rock – a metamorphic clay slate rich in minerals) contribute to complexity and cool character of the wines.
• The vineyard: High elevation site (up to 390m/1278t above sea level), south exposure. The vineyard is the garden of the old calvary church located on the mountain.
• Culture: Vineyards are cultivated nature friendly, based on the principles of organic and biodynamic farming. The vineyards are covered with vegetation, as the focus is on healthy soil. They take care of the vines with gentle pruning and infusions sprays.
• Variety: Kékfrankos is a local red variety, capable to produce complex wines which reflect the terroir. Planted in 2016, selected in the wine region. The grapes have medium bunches and berries, which produce a concentrated wine.
